3rd Mapping Course

The “3rd Mapping Course” is four-day event endorsed by the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) and the Sociedad Española de Neurocirurgía (SENEC).  Across this course the main experts in brain intraoperative mapping will cover the theoretical and practical bases of several techniques, including white matter fiber tractography using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) for intraoperative navigation and intraoperative neurophysiological mapping and monitoring.  Moreover, it will be possible to watch, on streaming or on demand, two live surgeries in which all these techniques will be put into practice.

Global Neurotrauma Outcomes Study 1 (GNOS‐1)

Trauma remains the leading cause of death among those under the age of 45, with brain injury playing a significant role in determining mortality. Traumatic brain injury (TBI), therefore, exerts a considerable burden on healthcare systems, with remarkable geographical differences in treatments. The WFNS has collaborated with the NHS National Institute for Health Research to comprehensively investigate the surgical management of TBI. This is the first worldwide study of this nature, and the investigators invite you and your unit to participate.
