Curiosity is a principle that drives human beings, it is the engine of knowledge.

We believe that education is far from a mechanical system: it’s about people.

For this reason an educational system has to engage curiosity and creativity.

UpSurgeOn was born from this idea!

Our history, our vision

We are an open-ended group ready to welcome any kind of educational contribution.

To date, UpSurgeOn is focused on Neurosurgery and Neuroanatomy learning because we are actually a team of neurosurgeons and students engaged with this discipline.

In a foreseeable future we imagine UpSurgeOn as a multidisciplinary educational platform dedicated to all clinical and surgical disciplines with a role in health and education.

We believe in the free knowledge sharing and eLearning as essential elements in education.

Our mission

Our purpose is to produce supportive and hi-tech contents for neurosurgical study and practice in order to empower the learning curves of medical students and residents engaged in this discipline.

Our Scientific Team is made by people who believe that technology in digital arts and neurocognitive sciences can decisively contribute to improve the current learning and teaching methods in Neurosurgery and Neuroanatomy.

So we decided not to wait but to promote and encourage progress!

"Excellence is about people. We just want to provide the best tools ever to do it"

What is UpSurgeOn

An educational platform created by Neurosurgeons and Medical Students to support scientific education with innovative ideas.

Why we do it

We want to develop inspiring and innovative contents to improve neurosurgery and neuroanatomy learning.

Who we are

UpSurgeOn is an Italian company founded in January 2017 by a group of young neurosurgeons, residents and medical students.

Our Educational Contents

Theory and AppSurgeOn are two growing libraries. We are doing our best to expand them.

We are translating the modern learning languages in powerful educational contents. The theoretical modules of the Theory section and the 3D Apps of the AppSurgeOn series are designed to improve neuroanatomy learning and neurosurgical training.

These contents are designed by people which have already done, or are currently doing, these educational steps by using classical learning methods.

Starting from a methodological analysis we have identified specific teaching and learning critical issues and set ourselves an ambitious goal: to engineer an educational speed up in understanding anatomical tridimensionality, surgical planning, neuropathology and decision making. The result was extraordinary!

How we do it

Our contents are validated and sponsored by leading neurosurgeons worldwide

UpSurgeOn is a self-financing educational project. At present, our Apps have Ads or, alternatively, small prices precisely because we are not receiving funding from any institution.

What you can see is the result of the daily commitment and the highly-valued expertise of a young and growing team of surgeons, students, developers and digital artists.

The high scientific value of our contents is decisively supported and sponsored by leading neurosurgeons worldwide.
